In March 1988, the first automatic assembly equipment for motor windings was off the line and sent to Weihai Electric Machinery Factory. In the same year, the company undertook the national "Spark Plan" project for the first time;

In August 1989, the company changed its name to Shandong Longkou Electrical Machinery Factory. In the same year, the company applied for a patent for the first time. At the end of the year, the first set of equipment provided for Weihai Electric Machinery Factory passed the ministerial appraisal.
